The School Day

The school day starts at 8:50 am where children line up in the playground ready to go into class.  It is important that children are brought to school on time as if children are late then this has an impact on their learning.

The children have an opportunity every morning to participate in collective worship.  Across the week this is lead by Rev Luci Morriss, the chilren and all members of teaching staff.

School finishes at 3:15 pm.  Children must be picked up promptly from the playground.

Be healthy week 005

Absences - School attendance is a legal requirement and as such, we have a stringent attendance policy in place which is available on request from the school office.  All absences due to illness should be notified to the school office as soon as possible, ideally by phone before 9:00 am.  An absence is unauthorised if the school is not notified by phone or in writing as to the reason and our Pastoral Support Worker will follow these up.  The Education Welfare Officer will be involved with persistent absentees and children who continually arrive late.  As part of the school's rewards system, attendance awards are given to children whose attendance is above a certain level.

Lateness - If your child arrives late, they should report to the School Office.    After 9:30 am, your child is marked as 'late after registration' which is classed as unauthorised absence.
